General Responsibility
Serve as a Legal Assistant for SLED's Office of General Counsel and assist with special projects and activities as needed.
Specific Duties

General Responsibility
Serve as a Legal Assistant for SLED's Office of General Counsel and assist with special projects and activities as needed.
Specific Duties
- Coordinate and process extradition requests received by SLED's Office of General Counsel. Receive, log, review, research, track, and process extradition requests and other requests as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and procedures regarding extraditions. Ensure requests are accomplished within mandated time limits as required by law.
- Assist SLED's Office of General Counsel with special projects, events, and other activities. This includes answering telephone calls, responding to emails, and assisting with general tasks as needed.
- A high school diploma.
- Must have experience with data management, record keeping, communications, scheduling, and drafting correspondence and legal documents.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all matters pertaining to the agency.
