Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate with 1–6 years of experience to join a premier litigation practice handling sophisticated, high-stakes disputes across a broad range of industries. This is an exceptional opportunity for attorneys seeking exposure to complex litigation matters, significant responsibility, and direct involvement in challenging and impactful legal work.
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding writing skills, strong academic credentials, exceptional attention to detail, and a desire to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Support all phases of complex litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and other substantive legal filings
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues
- Assist with discovery, witness preparation, and deposition preparation
- Participate in hearing preparation, trial strategy, and case management activities
- Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on high-profile matters
- Interface with clients and litigation teams regarding case strategy and developments
- 1–6 years of litigation experience
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Outstanding academic credentials
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Tennessee Bar admission required
- Base salary range: $225,000 – $390,000
