Special Education Teacher -  Full-Time | Full School Year Contract

Position Details:

Job Type: Full-Time
Contract: Full School Year
Location: Kansas City, MO

Caseloads Available Include:

• Elementary Self-Contained 
• Middle School / High School Resource 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction based on students’ IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers in co-teaching environments
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and student progress
• Create a structured, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Utilize evidence-based strategies for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Communicate effectively with families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications:

• Valid MO state certification in Special Education
• Experience in self-contained or resource/co-teaching settings preferred
• Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
• Ability to collaborate and build positive relationships
• Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
