ThisjobcontributestoStarbuckssuccessbyleadingateamofstoremanagerswithinanassigneddistricttoachievebusiness results while creating and maintaining the Starbucks Experience for our customers and partners. Thedistrict manager is required to regularly and customarily exercise discretion in managing the overall operation of thestores within the assigned district. The majority of time is spent staffing, coaching, developing and managing theperformance of store managers, understanding local customer needs, ensuring district-wide customer satisfactionandproductquality,analyzingkeybusinessindicatorsandtrends,managingthedistrict'sfinancialperformance,andmanagingsafetyandsecuritywithinthedistrict.Theincumbentisresponsiblefor modelingandactingin accordancewithStarbucksguidingprinciples. Buildsstoremanagercapabilitytocoach,developandmanagetheperformanceoftheirdirectreports. Leadsateamofstoremanagerstodeliverlegendarycustomerandpartnerexperiences.Spendsmajorityoftimeinstores observing store environments and operational effectiveness, coaching and developing store managers toachievebusinessgoals. Managesthroughunusualeventstokeepdistrictoperatingto standard. Manageswithintegrity,honestyandknowledgethatpromotetheculture,valuesandmissionof Starbucks. Setsclearexpectations,delegatesandcommunicateskeyresponsibilitiesandpracticestostoremanagerstoensuresmoothflowofoperationswithinthedistrict. PlanningandExecution -Developingstrategicandoperationalplansfortheworkgroup,managingexecution,andmeasuringresults: Creates district implementation plans based on trend analysis and local market knowledge to ensure effectiveexecutionofregionalandcompanyinitiativesthatachievebothoperationalexcellenceandbusinessresults.Followsupconsistentlywithteamofstoremanagerstoensureaccountabilitytoplans. Monitorsandmanagesdistrict-widemanagementstaffinglevels.Ensuresstoremanagertalentacquisitionanddevelopmentinordertoachieveandmaintaindistrictoperationalrequirements. Utilizesexistingtoolstoidentifyandprioritizecommunicationsandfilterscommunicationstostoremanagerswithinthe district. Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective operations at the store anddistrictlevel. Responsibletoprovidefeedbackon a regularbasisto supportservicesfunctionstoensurethemostsuccessfulbusinesspartnership. Utilizesmanagementinformationtoolsandanalyzesfinancialreportstoidentifyandaddresstrendsandissuesindistrictperformance. Manages district's store managers by regularly conducting performance assessments, providing feedback, andsettingchallenginggoals to improvepartnerperformance.Managesongoingpartnerperformanceusingperformancemanagementtoolstosupportorganizationalobjectives. Recognizesandreinforcesindividualandteamaccomplishmentsbyusingexistingorganizationalmethods.
