Inventory Control Day Shift

Job OverviewAre you detail-oriented, organized, and ready to grow your career? Gourmet Foods International is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to help maintain inventory accuracy and support warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, quality inspections, processing customer returns, and ensuring that inventory records remain accurate across multiple systems. This position plays a key role in maintaining product integrity, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency within a fast-paced distribution environment.What does your day look like? Some of your duties may include:Conduct daily cycle counts and inventory reconciliation activitiesMaintain accurate physical inventory quantities and verify inventory against system recordsValidate customer returns against return sheets, pickups, and invoicesResearch and resolve inventory discrepancies and shortagesUtilize warehouse management and inventory systems to maintain accurate inventory recordsLearn and effectively operate Power Warehouse and Power Enterprise systemsVerify product dates, rotation, and quality standardsSupport food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirementsAssist with inventory audits and reporting activitiesMaintain accurate documentation related to inventory transactions and adjustmentsThings you need to be able to do:Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and WordStrong communication skills and ability to work independentlyAbility to learn and utilize multiple inventory management systemsAbility to identify and resolve inventory discrepanciesAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workdayAbility to bend, reach, and perform physical inventory tasksAbility to lift up to 50 pounds as neededAbility to work in refrigerated, freezer, and warehouse environments with temperatures ranging from -5°F to 45°FConsistent, regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
