Registered Nurse Med-Surg Neuro

Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse Med-Surg Neuro to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult medical-surgical and neurological patients in an acute care setting. You will be responsible for comprehensive patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications and treatments, and closely monitoring patient conditions, intervening promptly and appropriately as changes occur. Collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, you will help coordinate care, support safe discharges, and ensure continuity of care across the patient’s stay. You will utilize evidence-based practice, follow all safety and infection prevention protocols, and document accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record. The Registered Nurse Med-Surg Neuro also plays a key role in patient and family education, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatments, medications, and post-discharge care to promote understanding and self-management.
