Ignite Voices and Transform Lives in Frisco – Join Our Team as a Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career where your efforts resonate with profound purpose, enabling individuals to express themselves and thrive once more. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the dynamic city of Frisco, your role will encompass so much more than addressing speech and swallowing disorders. You will have the opportunity to unlock doors to communication, bolster self-esteem, and foster connections that enrich lives, spanning from inquisitive toddlers finding their voices to graceful seniors rediscovering their independence.
This position presents a fantastic chance to make a genuine difference in a variety of settings. You will be engaged not only in outpatient therapy but also providing occasional inpatient support. Whether your passion lies in nurturing young children's language skills, assisting adults with neurogenic disorders, or aiding the elderly with cognitive challenges, you will find both fulfillment and adaptability in this role.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric segments using both standardized tests and observational methods.
- Create customized treatment strategies that incorporate immediate objectives and address long-term speech, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on language, communication, fluency, voice control, and swallowing difficulties.
- Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals, including physical therapists, nurses, caregivers, and families, to implement cohesive treatment strategies.
- Provide education to patients and families to champion continuous improvement outside the therapy environment.
- Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the client's journey.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation in adherence to the relevant state, federal, and organizational policies.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet attained ASHA certification.
Licensure and Certifications
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
Skills
- Thorough knowledge of evidence-based practices suitable for all age groups with strong insights into developmental and acquired communication disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities to connect with patients, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues.
- Adjust therapy approaches to accommodate an array of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical insights and effective problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable utilizing electronic medical records and adhering to documentation standards.
Benefits
- Competitive salary reflective of experience and expertise.
- Flexible work schedules promoting a healthy work-life balance and diverse caseloads.
- Opportunities to dive deeper into pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
- Paid time off (PTO) as well as holiday remuneration.
- Options for medical, dental, vision, and life coverage.
- Support for continuing education and career advancement.
- A collaborative, supportive atmosphere prioritizing high-quality care and continuous growth.
Your Next Adventure Awaits — Let's Make an Impact Together
In this role, you're not just fulfilling the duties of a Speech Language Pathologist — you're stepping into a collective mission to elevate voices, enhance communication, and create joy through the power of connection and understanding.
Work alongside kindred spirits who view each other as family, in an environment dedicated to collaboration rather than competition. Each individual you assist has a unique narrative; it's your privilege to help them share it.
Why You'll Thrive in Frisco
Frisco epitomizes a blend of modern vibrancy and warm, family-friendly charm. Surrounded by parks and trails, this city offers a plethora of outdoor activities, inviting families to picnic in sunny green spaces, relax at local food festivals, or attend community events celebrating local arts.
The culinary scene is an eclectic melting pot, from delightful food trucks offering global delights to sophisticated dining spaces with gourmet choices. Frisco pulsates with creativity and innovation as each mural and performance bursts with life. For professionals, the benefits extend beyond the quality of life; a thriving economy and no state income tax contribute to a more satisfying financial journey.
Whether you're embarking on your career or a seasoned professional seeking a new challenge, Frisco provides a nurturing environment for growth — both personally and professionally.
Who We're Looking For
We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist who finds motivation not only in outcomes but in heartfelt connections. You perceive a shy child and envision a tapestry of future expression; you hear the hesitant speech of someone recovering from a stroke and see unyielding determination.
Perhaps you are a pediatric enthusiast who desires to broaden your expertise with adults or a neuro-specialist eager to incorporate early intervention into your practice.
Whatever your strengths, if you share our values of compassion and excellence, we wholeheartedly invite you to join us.
Let's Craft Meaningful Connections — Together
If you resonate with the belief that speech transcends mere sounds and that therapy encompasses so much more than tasks — that trust paves the way to progress, and laughter is as crucial as language — then this could be the next pivotal chapter in your professional journey.
Become part of a welcoming community that cherishes communication, connection, and the resilience it takes to embark on new beginnings. Apply today, and let's together invite others to find their voice through our mission — your unique contributions are needed here.
