Urgent Hiring: Closed-Door LTC Pharmacist

Location: Bentonville, AR 72712
Pay Rate: $65.75/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30/6:00 PM
Weekend Rotation: Saturday & Sunday approximately once every 3 weeks

On-Call: Optional; typically very low phone volume

We are urgently seeking a Licensed Pharmacist to join a closed-door long-term care (LTC) pharmacy in Bentonville, Arkansas. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys working in a clinical, collaborative environment and wants to support patients receiving long-term care services.

CPR+ experience is a huge plus! Recent experience is not required—previous experience using CPR+ is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Review, accept, prepare, and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential medication overuse or misuse patterns.
• Ensure medication dispensing practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and pharmacy standards.
• Evaluate prescriptions for appropriateness, safety, drug interactions, and potential drug-related problems.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
• Provide medication consultation and education to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Counsel on prescription and non-prescription medications, including dosage, administration, storage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Identify and communicate medication-related concerns to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
• Compound medications for internal and external use as required.
• Prepare sterile solutions in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
• Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians, clerks, interns, and other pharmacy staff.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications and medical supplies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Support patient health services and education, including smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, cholesterol management, and proper use of medical devices such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license in the state of Arkansas or ability to meet applicable state licensing requirements.
• PharmD or equivalent pharmacy education as required for state licensure.
• Strong knowledge of prescription medications, drug interactions, dosing, and pharmacy regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to medication safety.
• Strong communication and clinical judgment skills.
• Ability to work effectively with pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals.
• CPR+ software experience strongly preferred. Previous experience is a major plus even if it was not recent.
• Long-term care, closed-door pharmacy, institutional pharmacy, or related pharmacy experience is preferred.

Schedule

Compensation

$65.75/hour
