Business Process Analyst

We are looking to add to our team of Business Process Analysts (BPA) supporting U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). On this project we provide management consulting services to support the Investment Analysis Office (IAO) with management consulting services in digital transformation, data analytics and visualization. The BPA leads and supports business process improvement, reengineering, modernization, and transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, and mission outcomes. Responsibilities include assessing complex business processes and performance across financial, workforce, and operational functions; facilitating requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement; conducting process modeling, workflow, risk, and cost analyses; and developing data-driven recommendations aligned with strategic objectives. This is a hybrid role located in DC at CBP offices in National Place and the Ronald Reagan Building onsite 2-3 days/ week with flexibility.


Day to Day:
• Lead or be a member of a team of analysts that apply process improvement, reengineering, modernization, or transformation principles, approaches, and methodologies that lead to increased efficiency or effectiveness in financial and operations management.
• Experienced in assessing process performance in complex environments, involving linkages between financial, staffing, and other support processes, and operational processes and outcomes.
• Directs requirement collection and refinement efforts, to include interviews, surveys, working sessions and focus group studies.
• Provides support for the design and implementation of new or enhancements to business processes.
• Supports coordination between multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of reengineering efforts.
• Facilitates meetings to assist management in the development of clear statements of quantifiable goals, objectives, requirements, and metrics.
• Ensures proposed process improvements align to strategic objectives, and initiatives are compliant with appropriate policies, rules and regulations.
• Experienced in developing realistic and practical implementation plans.
• Conducts organizational studies and evaluations; conducts work simplification and measurement studies; and prepares operations, training, and procedural manuals to assist management in implementing ways to operate more efficiently and effectively.
• Familiar with developing and interpreting cost analysis, budget plans, and developing and presenting briefings to senior management.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelors degree
• 3+ years of business process analytics experience (enterprise-wide process integration, performance measurement, organizational change management, and implementation planning while producing executive briefings, operational documentation, and actionable insights to guide decision-making and continuous improvement)
• Demonstrated experience in analytics, project management and analytics platforms like Microsoft Suite, Tableau, ServiceNow, Jira, etc..
• Active CBP BI, ICE Public Trust or TS Clearance
