Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our PeriOperative Services team. This role is vital in providing professional nursing care throughout the peri-operative period, from patient admission to discharge. The ideal candidate will be experienced in various surgical specialties, including orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, and endoscopy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and surgical requirements.
• Perform nursing interventions and evaluate patient responses effectively.
• Advocate for the patient, ensuring their safety and comfort during the peri-operative process.
• Participate in call coverage, with scheduled shifts including every third night and weekend.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in the relevant state.
• Experience in peri-operative nursing with a focus on orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, and endoscopy.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic healthcare environment.
