You will work with two small, stable, long-tenured teams while enjoying autonomy, variety, and patient connection.Key highlightsWork Arrangement: 40% office, 60% road (home visits).Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.Travel: Covers Waukegan; assists Rockford 1–2 days/week; may see Wisconsin patients.Salary range$40 – $45 per hourOn-Call transparencyShared on-call rotation with Chicago area; 1–2 weekdays/week and 1 weekend/month. Telehealth licensed; occasional in-person weekend visits.What you’ll doConduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑upsEducate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenanceAssess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriatelyRespond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needsCollaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teamsMaintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptopSet up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilationInspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating conditionPerform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signsPerforms other duties as requiredWhat we look forRespiratory Therapist with an active IL RT license.
