Trailer Mechanic

Metal fabrication Welding Brake repair Painting Patching Repair of trailer lights Wood repair Tire replacement Shop maintenance such as sweeping trailers/shop, emptying trash, etc. Operate a forklift, welding equipment, high lift, semi-tractor to move trailers. Adhere components on trailer such as placard, scuff, e-tracking, LASH, etc. Report accurately on shop work order of work performed. Skills we are looking for: Proficient in welding, cutting torches, small electric and pneumatic power tools. Metal and wood fabrication required along with strong mechanical aptitude Previous mechanic experience is preferred but not required Ability to drive tractor to move trailers. Valid Drivers license required Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must provide tools. Qualifications to be successful: High school diploma or GED preferred. Certification in welding a plus.
