Youth Basketball Coach

Overview Lansing Parks and Recreation offers a variety of programs for all ages and abilities. We also operate 111 parks and over 25 miles of river trail. Within all of this, we have a volunteer opportunity for everyone. From one time special events, after school/summer mentoring, coaching to park beautification, we have it all. Volunteer role We are looking for volunteer coaches for our youth basketball leagues for girls and boys in ages 5-14. This is a non-competitive league, skill-based program from individual registrations with volunteer coaches. Participants are placed on teams according to their age and school. Games are played on Saturdays (mid morning start) at the Gier and Schmidt Community Centers. Practices start the first week of December. League play starts early January through early March.
