Locums General Surgery Physician
Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc.
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgery Physician for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Dickinson, North Dakota. This position offers a mix of clinic, scheduled surgical cases, and call coverage in a collaborative practice.
Position Details
Coverage: Ongoing
Schedule: Approximately 14 working days per month with 10 days of call
Practice Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient Clinic, Surgery, and Call
Clinic: Evaluate and manage general surgery patients, including pre- and post-operative care
Average Daily Census: 15 patients
Average General Surgery Patients During 24-Hour Call: 0–5
Scheduled Surgeries: Monday–Friday
Emergency Surgery Call: 24/7 coverage as assigned
Required Procedures
Abdominal surgery
Endoscopy
Liver procedures
Stomach surgery
Gallbladder surgery (Cholecystectomy)
Appendectomy
Colon surgery
Laparoscopic procedures
Spleen surgery
Qualifications
Board Certified in General Surgery or Board Eligible (within 3 years of U.S. residency completion)
Active North Dakota medical license
Current DEA registration
ATLS certification
PALS certification
