Occupational Therapist - Full Time

Licensed Occupational Therapist

We're hiring a licensed Occupational Therapist for a full-time role at a hospital in New London, NH. Your skills will support patients on their journey to healing and independence in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist with New Hampshire eligibility. License required to start the position.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Experience providing Occupational Therapy in an outpatient rehabilitation or ambulatory clinic setting. Strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with evaluation and treatment of upper quadrant pathologies, neurologic impairments, general orthopedics, and post-operative care.
• Proficiency with manual therapy, neuro-rehab techniques, exercise modalities, and use of functional activities in treatment.
• Graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy or equivalent.

Role Summary and Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy evaluations, treatment planning, and interventions for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting.
• Administer treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician to restore function and prevent disability.
• Assess pain and functional limitations and coordinate with physicians for interventions when needed.
• Develop and implement teaching plans for patients and families and evaluate effectiveness.
• Document patient care and maintain clinical records in accordance with hospital policies and standards.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely and maintain department cleanliness and safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and consult other departments to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Supervise and direct department staff as appropriate, including OT assistants, aides, students, and certification applicants.
• Participate in orientation, in-service training, and performance improvement activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of patient charges and use approved abbreviations when recording information.

Schedule

• Days. Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:00.
• Weekend requirements to be determined.

Duration and Start

• Direct hire position.
• Start timeframe: October 19, 2026 through October 16, 2027 indicated for recruiting purposes. Confirm start date with recruiter.
