Set the Standard.Elderwood is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to lead one of our nursing units within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.This is a hands-on leadership role - ideal for a nurse who is confident in long-term care, comfortable leading teams with varying levels of experience, and committed to building consistency, accountability, and quality on the unit.If you are a steady, experienced RN who knows how to lead CNAs, support newer staff, and drive clinical standards, we want to connect with you.Apply TodayIf you're ready to lead, mentor, and make a meaningful impact - we'd like to connect with you.ResponsibilitiesUnit Manager (RN) - Skilled Nursing - What You'll Lead:Unit Leadership & Team OversightProvide 24-hour oversight of your assigned nursing unitSupervise, coach, and develop nursing staff — with a strong focus on CNA support and performanceSet clear expectations for care delivery, accountability, and teamworkClinical Oversight & Resident CareOversee development, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plansMonitor clinical indicators and proactively address resident needsEnsure high standards in documentation, infection control, and regulatory complianceFamily & Physician CommunicationServe as a key point of contact for families and providersCommunicate changes in condition and care plans clearly and professionallyAddress concerns and support service recovery when neededOperations & StaffingManage daily staffing, call-ins, and scheduling needsParticipate in hiring, performance management, and staff developmentConduct daily rounds to ensure quality and environment standards are metQualificationsUnit Manager (RN) - Skilled Nursing - What We're Looking For:Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - New York StateMinimum 2+ years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care settingPrior leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, Supervisor) requiredStrong ability to lead, coach, and hold staff accountableExperience working with CNA teams and developing newer staffConfidence in handling family communication, clinical oversight, and regulatory expectationsExperience with dementia population strongly preferredEOE StatementWE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
