Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - Adult Critical Care & ER - $1,966 per week

Job Title Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT (RRT) – Fredericksburg, Virginia Assignment Overview Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for adult respiratory/neuro diagnostics at a Level II Trauma Center. Night shift (3x12 hr, 19:00–07:30). 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hrs). Start date: 30 Jun 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Responsibilities Perform aerosol, bronchial hygiene, and lung inflation therapies. Draw and analyze arterial blood gases (ABG). Implement and manage CPAP/BiPAP therapy. Provide oxygen therapy and nebulizer treatments. Administer medications and conduct airway management. Attend monthly department meetings; if absent, review minutes and send written acknowledgment. Qualifications Active VA state license or proof of VA license application and current license from another state. BLS and CRTT certifications required. ACLS required; ACLS may be pending at start if obtained within 90 days. RRT credential preferred. Minimum experience in airway management, medication administration, ABGs, O2 therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, BiPAP, CPAP, and nebulizers. Experience in adult critical care, emergency department, and community hospital settings required; NICU, ED, and adult ICU experience preferred. Level II Trauma Center experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to float to ER and Adult ICU Stepdown units. Additional Details Every other weekend required and every other holiday. Mandatory on‑call requirement: 3 shifts per 6-week period. Block scheduling not available. Charting in Epic EMR. Wine-colored scrubs required. Time-off requests handled at manager’s discretion. Two professional supervisor references from the past 2 years required. Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required. Pay and Benefits Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation). Tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Pay details subject to confirmation.
