Concrete Superintendent

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Concrete Superintendent to oversee all field operations related to concrete construction across multiple projects. This role ensures that work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The Concrete Superintendent manages field crews, coordinates with project leadership and subcontractors, and drives schedule and productivity to meet project deadlines and budget targets. Key Responsibilities Manage all on-site concrete activities, including layout, forming, placement, finishing, and curing Supervise foremen, laborers, and finishers, ensuring clear communication and direction Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials for maximum field productivity Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications Enforce safety standards and ensure OSHA and company safety compliance Conduct daily site walks and planning meetings; maintain accurate field reports Troubleshoot issues, mitigate risks, and ensure smooth project execution Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to stay aligned on scope, sequencing, and schedule Oversee quality control and ensure the final product meets project and industry standards Track production metrics, labor hours, and material usage to support cost control Lead by example—maintaining a culture of accountability, safety, and craftsmanship Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications / Requirements 7+ years of concrete construction experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or superintendent role Proficient in reading construction documents and managing layout Proven ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors on large job sites Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Familiarity with scheduling tools and field documentation Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area Physical Requirements Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods: Constantly Moving about to accomplish tasks at a worksite or moving from one worksite to another: Constantly Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, such as stooping, kneeling, or crouching: Constantly Adjusting, moving and lifting objects in all directions: Constantly Talking and hearing to communicate with others: Constantly Seeing to perform job duties at close range, such as monitors or screens: Rarely Seeing to perform job duties at a distance, such as driving or operating equipment: Occasionally Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers: Constantly Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like: Occasionally Operating machinery and/or power tools: Constantly Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment: Constantly The ability to travel regionally or nationally: Never Physical Demands Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing: Constantly Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds: Constantly Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds: Constantly Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more: Occasionally Working Conditions Low temperatures: Occasionally High temperatures: Occasionally Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind: Occasionally Noisy environments: Occasionally Hazardous conditions: Rarely Shift work, to include overnight work: Occasionally Frequent overtime, including weekends: Occasionally Office environment: Rarely Benefits Pave America and its companies offer a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well-being.
