Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Memory Care Unit in a 120-bed skilled nursing facility. The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations of the unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, supervising nursing staff, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.

This leadership role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a passion for caring for residents with dementia and memory-related conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Memory Care unit in collaboration with the Director of Nursing

• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs

• Ensure quality resident care in accordance with facility policies and state/federal regulations

• Monitor and evaluate resident care plans and clinical outcomes

• Conduct clinical rounds and respond to resident/family concerns

• Coordinate interdisciplinary care planning

• Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations

• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with regulatory standards

• Participate in quality assurance and infection control initiatives

Qualifications

• Active LPN/RN license in the state of Florida

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in long-term care or skilled nursing

• Experience with dementia or memory care strongly preferred

• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, or Nurse Supervisor in a skilled nursing facility

• Experience with EMR systems in long-term care

• Wound care or infection control experience a plus

Schedule
