Learn more about Target here.**ALL ABOUT FOOD & BEVERAGE**The job of the Food & Beverage team is to enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, available and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. They are experts of operations, process and efficiency. This team leads food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, and promotional signing processes for all Food & Beverage areas of the store.**At Target, we believe in our leaders having meaningful experiences that help them build and develop skills for a career. The role of a Food & Beverage Sales Executive Team Leader can provide you with skills and experience of:*** Guest service fundamentals and experience building and managing a guest-first and freshness culture on your team* Food & Beverage business fundamentals, including department sales trends, freshness, food safety and quality, inventory management, item reliability, guest shopping patterns and pricing and promotions strategies* Setting and planning department(s) monthly/quarterly workload to support business priorities and managing a team to deliver on sales goals* Retail business acumen, guest insights, holiday and event planning strategy and execution along with the knowledge of business competition* Leading a team hourly leaders and team members to deliver a great guest culture and operational excellence that allows for the creation of business-specific strategies and goals* Recruiting, hiring, developing and talent management of hourly leaders and team members**As Food & Beverage Sales Executive Team Leader, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day most likely will include the following responsibilities:*** Consistently delivers guest experience commitments* Holds TLs accountable to deliver exceptional guest experiences through consistent accountability, team development, training and recognition.* Celebrates outstanding guest experiences across teams and ensures recognition is consistent and meaningful.* Reviews area guest, financial, and team metrics to identify gaps and understand team behaviors.* Celebrates wins, sets clear priorities, and leads actions that drive results and enhance the guest experience.* Partners across teams to create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience.* Manage the Food & Beverage team and operations to drive store sales, demonstrating how you, your team and your departments contribute to and impact total store profitability and operational excellence* Model guest service standards to ensure your team maintains a fresh, full, reliable, and food safe departments during all operating hours.* Drive a culture centered in food safety; train, validate and coach team to deliver proper execution on all food safety standards and cleaning routines.* Create, lead and model a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding, learning and required training; help close skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions.* Lead an efficient operation that supports a great guest experience along with speed and efficiency.* Develop a strategy and utilize your workload planning tools to manage all scheduled workload ensuring you are guest ready at all times.* Own the scheduling plan with support from your Team Leaders based off of monthly and weekly business workload and guest traffic.* Manage Food & Beverage backroom and sales floor areas through leadership discussions with hourly leaders; ensure team adheres to Food & Beverage Standards to assess priorities and review reporting to identify business gaps for follow-up through Team Leaders execution of Assignment Sheets* Oversee Food & Beverage Team Leaders’ workload planning, including transitions, revisions, sales plans, sampling and promotions.* Proactively build relationships with vendors and oversee Team Leaders’ management of vendor performance.* Validate, audit and maintain food in-stocks and follow-up on Team Leader’s execution of task management process.* Know and assess the competition and leverage guest insights and feedback to drive the business and be the destination of choice for our guests.* Proactively plan for and execute merchandising and promotional strategies regarding holidays and events through close planning with Team Leader(s).* Manage your team to uphold and maintain all Starbucks and Pizza Hut Brand Standards (where applicable).* Foster a productive relationship with your Starbucks district manager and follow up on key takeaways from their time in your store.* Actively develop, coach and train your team; anticipate staffing needs, talent plan and recruit – both long and short term; manage performance reviews and support team member and leader onboarding* Develop and coach your team to elevate their skills and expertise.* Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management of operations and reporting* Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creating equitable experiences.* Become a subject matter expert in federal, state and local adult beverage laws as they apply to your business and protect your store’s liquor license (if applicable).* Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; lead team to work in the same way and hold others accountable to this commitment.* Develop and lead the safety culture and performance of the department through modeling and recognizing safe behaviors, identifying and correcting hazards, holding team accountable to following safety expectations, assisting with incident response, and reporting/investigating injuries timely and accurately.* Lead an instore security culture by focusing on deterrence, response and resolution in order to improve physical security processes.* Lead merchandise protection strategies across the total store, including ordering, storage and application as directed by best practices.* As a key carrier, implement all safe and secure training and processes.* Address all store emergency and compliance needs.* Regularly assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities to enable the guest experience for the store during assigned shifts* All other duties based on business needs.**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR****This may be the right job for you if:*** You enjoy interacting and helping others - including guests that shop our store and fellow team members you work with.* You thrive in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key to success.* You are open to working a variable work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, closing shifts and other peak shopping times).**We have some amazing training that will help build upon the skills you already have to succeed as a Food & Beverage Sales Executive Team Leader, but, there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:*** 4-year degree or equivalent experience* Strong interest and knowledge of the food and beverage business* Strong interpersonal and communication skills* Strong business acumen* Comfortable dealing with ambiguity* Ability to manage conflict, lead, and hold others accountable* Relate well with and interact with all levels of the organization* Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making, financial and quantitative analysis* Learn and adapt to current technology needs* Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes* Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.* Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently* Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members**We are an awesome place to work and care about our teams, so we want to make sure we are clear on a few more basics that we expect:*** Access all areas of the building to respond to the guest or team member issues* Interpret instructions, reports and information* Accurately handle cash register operations if needed* Climb up and down ladders* Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others* Flexible work schedule (e.g. nights, weekends, and holidays);
