As a Security Guard Savings Bank in Bronx, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule Saturday: 08:45 AM – 02:15 PM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. Responsibilities Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial institution location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report details according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including lobbies, offices, parking areas, and perimeter access points, to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor entrances, exits, and/or other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized access, support access control procedures, and document observed concerns. Communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency personnel as needed regarding security‑related matters, customer service needs, and observed incidents. Minimum Requirements Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
