Role Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observational skills.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver targeted one-on-one speech therapy sessions aiming at enhancing communication, language fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and their families to foster progress beyond the clinic.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions to ensure seamless care during the entire treatment process.
• Document treatment facets accurately and punctually in adherence to state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Engage in continuous learning and peer discussions to stay at the forefront of speech-language pathology innovations.

Required Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet obtained ASHA certification.

Certification Requirements

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
