Responsibilities

• Oversee the profitable operation of multiple projects or mega projects with revenue exceeding $3,000,000 per year.
• Coordinate all project efforts to ensure efficient and cost‑effective execution.
• Serve as primary liaison contact with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction.
• Handle the most complex projects of the largest magnitude.
• Lead the design management, technical design, and architectural vision to develop client strategies and elevate design culture.
• Mentor junior staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide training.

Qualifications

• Provide expertise to elevate the process, product, and dialogue of aviation architecture practice within HNTB.
• Support project design and pioneer design ideas that reflect innovation and unique aesthetics while ensuring operations, functions, and client vision.
• Contribute to research and development of new processes and technologies in architecture, including AI, practice‑based improvements, and technical and sustainable improvements.
• Contribute nationally with professional and design associations within HNTB’s strategy.
• Help advise and assemble integrated teams, elevating design through team building, collaboration, and empowerment.
• Attract and recruit staff at all experience levels and mentor developing professionals.
• Provide expertise and selling skills through interviewing, collateral creation, imagery, and technical writing.
• Provide mentorship to the next generation of professionals to excel as sellers, speakers, and innovative designers.
• Support the Aviation Growth Team in identifying and positioning projects, clients, and programs for pursuit.
• Participate in large‑scale pursuits, mega projects, or highly complex projects to secure wins.
• Be a strong advocate of design and growth strategy.
• Work closely with leadership to triangulate projects, people, and culture.
• Possess experience with alternative deliveries including CMAR, PDB, and fast track multi‑package delivery.
• Interface with builders throughout design and construction to mitigate risk.
• Attract and promote talent to the local office.
• Contribute to local business development efforts.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field and have 15 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 20 years of experience.
• Master’s degree.
• Registered Architect (RA) designation.

Pay Range (Approximate)

New York: $180,596.86 – $360,607.36

Massachusetts: $216,716.23 – $346,183.07

Nationwide: $180,596.86 – $360,607.36
