Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a night shift assignment requiring Level II Trauma experience and a CT/Compact RN license.

Job Details

• Short term acute care hospital setting with 426 staffed beds,
• Level II Trauma Center,
• Night shift, 4x10 hours (9:00 PM - 7:30 AM),
• Required to work weekends and take call as needed for the department,
• May be required to cover charge duties as needed, not full-time charge,
• EPIC charting system used,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required prior to start,
• BLS certification required,
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required (5 years preferred),
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience required,
• Minimum 3 prior travel assignments in Level I Trauma or high trauma settings required,
• EPIC charting experience required,
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred,
• Previous charge experience preferred,
• 1 professional reference required,

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, neurology, trauma, orthopedic, urology, ENT, thoracic, bariatric, and robotic surgery,
• Experience with DaVinci Xi Surgical System required,
• Familiarity with emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia,
• Knowledge of infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, and universal protocol (time out) procedures required,
• Facility auto-approves up to 7 days of RTO,
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler,
• Local candidates not accepted; candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility,
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted; COVID vaccine and booster required with religious/medical exemptions only
