Job Description
Arvato is seeking a Wave Planner to work closely with operations. The Wave Planner will aggregate production orders into batches for pick and pack. Ensures orders are batched, sorted, and sent to the production floors to ensure efficient production and on-time delivery of customer products.
YOUR TASKS
- Review Orders in the Queue
- Optimize production floor output in the wave plan office, navigating the warehouse system with a high degree of technical competency
- Advise Account Representatives of orders in jeopardy.
- Monitor area capacity and set a schedule so as not to exceed the area and work centers' capabilities while meeting customer requirements.
- Stage production floor with orders.
- Release workable orders.
- Communicate needs and scheduling conflicts to Operations and Client Services.
- Ensure daily commitments are scheduled to meet customer requirements.
- Evaluate constraints and communicate with Operations teams and Client Services to resolve issues.
- Monitor the daily and weekly schedules to ensure workability in advance of order dispatch.
- Confirm with shipping schedule adherence.
- Resolve issues that interfere with the on-time completion of orders.
- Escalate issues that cannot be resolved.
- Communicate with Operations/Client Services on issues of non-workable orders that have been converted to production orders.
- Monitor Manufacturing performance and communicate issues of reliability to Operations management.

- CPIM certifications preferred
- CIRM certifications preferred
- SAP knowledgeable
- Customer-oriented, professional communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Must have good problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Outlook email for daily communication.
- Excellent communication skills: reading, writing, and speaking fluently in English.
- Must have good attendance, be a self-starter, and can work independently
- Adaptable to change for cross-training on new customer requirements.
- Adaptable to new work assignments with the ability to work overtime, weekends, and alternate shifts as required.
- Knowledge of 6S, ISO 9001 2008/2015 not required but would be a plus
- B.A. degree or equivalent work experience, minimum 4 years as scheduler
