Mechanical Estimator

Mechanical EstimatorMechanical Estimator will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious client acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You will assist the Chief Estimator by reviewing plan and spec HVAC projects, compiling accurate cost estimates, and preparing client proposals.Provide back of house and client facing support for the Sales Manager Chief Estimator including but not limited to:Attend Job WalkthroughsReview bid requests, plans and specifications, etc. to qualify projects for appropriate actionInteract with subcontractors and vendors to verify accuracy of proposalsDevelop value-engineered alternatives for client's consideration.Maintain bid lists and CRM entries accurately with timely updatesSource new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emailsField Bid Request phone calls/emails, and query client for project details.Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interestAssist with the preparation of technical proposals and prequalification forms3 to 5 years' experience in the HVAC industryMechanical engineer or Electrical engineering degree preferredTechnical degree or associates degree in a related field will be consideredIndividuals with HVAC or electrical contracting sales and associated experience are welcome to applyEntry-level candidates will be considered on an individual basisMust have excellent communication and presentation skillsMust have working knowledge of all typical computer programs used in this work environment such as MS Office, Vista and/or Windows 7 (MS Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook), Blue Beam software a plus.Valid driver's licenseThis role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance.
