CODE ENFORCEMENT INSPECTOR I (SAFETY & PERMITS) (CLASS CODE 2204)

Beginning level work inspecting dwellings to secure compliance with laws, ordinances, and regulations governing minimum housing standards; and related work as required. The incumbent in this position with Safety & Permits will be trained to inspect short-term rental facilities and make sure the follow city ordinances and regulations for short-term rentals, safety, sanitation, and neighborhood quality-of-life. High School graduation or G.E.D. Equivalency Diploma.* EITHER: Sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited college or university.* OR: Two (2) years of experience involving heavy public contact, general compliance, investigatory, or enforcement experience.
