Pressure Vessel Designer

Position Purpose
Pressure Vessel Designer should be proficient in all major aspects of vessel design, specification review, and material selection.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Perform ASME Sec. VIII, Div. 1 code calculation utilizing Compress.
- Perform ASME piping calculations.
- Reviews customer provided specifications for the projects and ensure the calculations are technically in compliance with the specifications.
- Ensures pressure vessels are designed and engineered in a technically efficient and commercially viable manner.
- Review and check pressure vessel, piping (ISO) drawings and other applicable project related fabrication drawings against customer specification and project documents.
- Works with the ASME authorized inspector to assure that ASME code requirements and design intent are met.
- Works with manufacturing during fabrication to provide support with any technical/design issues.
