Sr. Accountant

Position Title: Senior Accountant

Wage: Based on Experience

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with advanced Excel skills? We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client's finance team and play a key role in supporting business operations, improving financial processes, and driving accurate reporting. This position works directly with the CFO and provides oversight of the Accounts Payable function. This is a full-time, direct hire position that is fully onsite at their Janesville, WI location.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

- Manage bank reconciliations, cash forecasting, cash journal entries, and weekly payment processing to ensure accurate cash management

- Complete month-end account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with US GAAP

- Develop, analyze, and report financial data using advanced Microsoft Excel tools, including complex pivot tables

- Oversee intercompany sales tracking, broker commission calculations, and quarterly royalty payment reconciliations

- Supervise the Accounts Payable function and support efficient accounting operations

- Partner with cross-functional departments to identify process improvements and implement operational efficiencies

- Assist with year-end inventory activities, audit requests, and other accounting projects as assigned

Requirements for Senior Accountant:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or an Associate degree with equivalent experience

- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong understanding of US GAAP

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including extensive with pivot tables

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and quantitative abilities

- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work independently
