Position Description: RN - Registered Nurse - PACU in Same Day Surgery

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate PACU team in Same Day Surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital. As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph's Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness.

The RN responsibilities include:

• Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Professional accountability and development.
• Direct contact with the child and has primary responsibility for providing personal care assistance and supervision to a child.
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Qualifications:

Certifications and Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
• RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
• ACLS Certification is required
• Nurse Specialty certification is preferred

Education:

• Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
• Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred

Experience:

· 2 years of RN experience is required.

· 1 year of RN experience in PACU working with adult and pediatric patients is preferred
