Business Analyst - Columbus, OH

Business Analyst Location: Columbus, OH Position Type: Contract US Citizen/ GC and GC EAD Responsibilities: Data, Formula & Table Maintenance - Develop and maintain the tables, databases and formulas applying to insurance rates, rules and formulas within the company's rating systems. Perform unit testing. Analyze, research and resolve policy rating issues. Ability to develop effective working relationships with staff and peers in a team environment. Develop business knowledge and strategic working relationships with the Information Technology group and business customers. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree or relatable work experience. Field of Study: Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline. Experience: Prefer candidates with a Property & Casualty Insurance background. Strong algebraic and analytical skills. Basic experience using, updating and maintaining algorithms and tables, within rating software. Duck Creek Example Author experience a plus. Proficient in Word and Excel. Knowledge of Doors software helpful, but not required. Should be able to work independently and within a team setting. Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
