Evening Shift (United States of America) Job Description Responsibilities
- Wage: $18/hour
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Day/Evening/Night shifts available
- Answer multiple incoming telephone lines, obtain necessary information, and transfer calls to correct extensions
- Correct and update posted information and assist with the upkeep of directories and on-call lists
- Learn and use the features of the PBX phone system, headsets, telephones, and all other related equipment
- Perform overhead paging and monitor all alarms located in PBX, notifying appropriate personnel
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and security of the PBX area
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and organizational data and ensure release of information is consistent with all privacy policies
- Respond promptly, accurately, and calmly to disaster and emergency situations
- Orient and train new team members
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
- GED or high school diploma
- Ability to perform calmly, competently, and quickly in emergencies
- Preferred: PBX and customer service experience, experience working in a hospital setting
- Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
- Ability to life up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Capable of sitting for extended periods of time while maintaining alert and responsive demeanor
