RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Cath Lab Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift: 4x10 Hour (06:30 - 17:00)

On-call requirements: 2 nights per week, plus 1 weekend every 2 weeks, totaling 7 call days per pay period.

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care during cardiovascular procedures and diagnostics. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures. Strong neuro skills are highly preferred as the role may involve alternating between STEMI and neuro call days depending on the patient population.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in various cardiac procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, and electrophysiology.
• Monitor patients during procedures and ensure appropriate sedation levels.
• Administer medications and conduct necessary assessments.
• Coordinate with physicians and other team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and report any changes in patient status promptly.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2 years of nursing experience preferred; 1.5 years is a hard stop.
• Must have current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Epic experience is required.
• Experience in a Cath Lab setting and neuro skills is preferred.
• No first-time travelers will be considered for this position.
