Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Periscope Physical Therapy, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Directing physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and restoring optimal muscle function as per individual care plans.
• Overseeing the activities of Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the effective and compliant execution of treatment plans.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical abilities through diagnostic assessments of muscle, nerve, and joint function.
• Assessing clients' home environments for therapeutic appropriateness and making recommendations to foster independence.
• Administering prescribed physical therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and application of physical agents.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices based on individual assessments and communicating any necessary modifications to the healthcare team.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with documentation standards.
• Actively participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to collaboratively improve patient outcomes.
• Instructing clients and their families about physical therapy techniques, home exercises, and device usage, fostering their engagement in the rehabilitation process.
• Meeting all required documentation and order submission deadlines consistently, adhering to company policies.

Qualifications
