Empower Communication Across the Ages in the Heart of Texas – Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career that allows you to give voice to countless precious moments. As a Speech Language Pathologist based in one of Central Texas's thriving communities, your work will transcend mere assessments and treatments. It will open doors, boost self-esteem, and forge connections, impacting lives from the moment a toddler speaks their first words to the inspiring journey of seniors reclaiming their autonomy.
This position offers a distinctive chance to work with diverse age groups, integrating both outpatient therapy and occasional inpatient responsibilities. Whether you have a knack for supporting pediatric speech and language development, adult communication disorders stemming from neurological conditions, or cognitive rehabilitation for the elderly, you will find your passion aligns with our mission.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for individuals spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing established assessment tools and observational methods.
Craft tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and long-term communication and swallowing aspirations.
Deliver individualized speech therapy that emphasizes communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallow safety.
Create collaborative care strategies working alongside physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families.
Provide education to both patients and families to reinforce progress outside therapy sessions.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
Maintain meticulous documentation in conjunction with all relevant state and federal standards.
Engage in ongoing professional education and peer conversations to remain at the forefront of speech language pathology advancements.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is still pending.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
Demonstrated expertise using evidence-based methods for treating individuals across all ages with speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to connect with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
A versatile approach to therapy that respects diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical intuition and innovative problem-solving capabilities.
Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation practices.
Competitive salary reflective of experience and expertise.
Flexible work schedules that promote a healthy work-life balance.
Opportunities for specialization in pediatric, adult neuro rehab, or geriatric therapies.
Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday remuneration.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
Support for continuing education and professional development.
A collaborative environment that values quality care and lifelong learning.
In this role, you won't just administer speech therapy; you'll weave into the fabric of a community-focused mission dedicated to helping individuals regain their voices, foster communication, and experience joy in the most fundamental human exchanges: understanding and connection.
You'll join a team of compassionate clinicians who see one another as family within a nurturing culture that prioritizes teamwork over rivalry. Each patient has a narrative, and we'll rely on your expertise to help narrate their journey.
The lifestyle in this thriving locale interlaces the pulse of modern innovation with the warmth of southern hospitality. Rolling hills and the shimmering Colorado River create a picturesque backdrop for those who crave a harmonious blend of nature, rich culture, and professional growth.
Community gatherings in lush green spaces for live performances and family picnics are a norm, allowing outdoor enthusiasts to explore scenic trails, paddle through pristine waterways, and relish weekends indulging in delightful Texas wines and local farmers markets. Culinary enthusiasts can relish an array of flavors from taco trucks on bustling street corners to elegant eateries redefining Texas cuisine.
The creative spirit pulsates across stunning murals, local music venues, and vibrant festivals that unite people from diverse backgrounds. For those in the professional sphere, advantages go well beyond quality of life — no state income tax, an affordable cost of living, and a dynamic healthcare landscape make this a region where careers flourish and thrive.
Whether you're embarking on your professional journey or are an experienced clinician looking for fresh horizons, you'll find expansive opportunities for growth on both personal and professional fronts here.
We seek a Speech Language Pathologist whose pursuit of success is matched by genuine compassion. Someone who gazes upon a reserved child and envisions a future filled with expression, or who listens to the fractured speech of a stroke survivor and hears the will to overcome.
You may be a pediatric specialist aspiring to delve into adult care or a neuro-focused therapist eager to incorporate early intervention techniques into your repertoire.
Whatever your focus, if your heart leads you to serve others with kindness and expertise, we are excited to welcome you to our team.
Join us in a community that cherishes communication, connection, and the bravery it takes to embrace new beginnings. Apply today, and lend your voice to our mission — help others uncover theirs.
