Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianResponsible for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of facilities equipment and buildings through preventative and corrective maintenance. This role involves working from mechanical and electrical schematics, performing a variety of technical tasks, and responding to emergency work orders.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.Works safely at all times.Maintain workspace in a safe and orderly fashion, adhering to all 5S standardsPerform PM tasks according to work ordersAccurately log task and equipment info into CMMS systemRespond to emergent Maintenance needs by Production TeamIdentify and implement PM improvements and Safety improvementsParticipate in training to increase knowledge about customer affected equipmentReceive, respond to, and implement customer feedback, directives, opportunities for improvement, etc.Ensure excellent Leadec customer-service level provided to customerResponsible for leading efforts in root cause analysis, problem solving, and elimination of recurring issues. Priority will be critical equipment that has greatest impact on downtime.Responsible for high-level support as needed for breakdowns and repair of general service production and automated manufacturing equipment.Assist management with maintaining compliance and prioritization of preventative and reactive maintenance work orders.Ability to provide rapid response to breakdowns during scheduled shifts on general production equipment with highly automated and PLC controlled equipment.Correct any mechanical, electrical or programming issues associated with the automated systems.Troubleshoot electromechanical equipment and automation equipmentWork from mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and ladder logic displays, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. Ability to update as built drawings.Preventive maintenance of pumps and lances.Lead root cause analysis efforts to eliminate repeat asset-failure events.Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.Competencies:Managing TasksOpen CommunicationSelf-ManagementKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Communication Skills - Ability to communicate with all levels of Leadec and customer employees.Language Ability -- Talking to others to convey information effectively.Customer Service Orientation - perform duties and functions to customer standardsAdaptability - Willingness to deal with unexpected challenges or circumstances.Problem Solving - Defining problems and bring about viable solutions.Motivation -- self-starter that requires minimal SupervisionAbility to work safely around industrial equipment and machinery.Attention to detail.Reliability and dependability.Initiative and proactive maintenance mindset.Strong work ethic.Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite.Must have the ability to interact well with others.Position Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required.Preferred 1-3 years maintenance experience.Any maintenance-related certifications a plus.Skilled in industrial maintenance best practices.Experience operating or maintaining High-Pressure Water Blasting equipment preferred.Painting and general furniture assembly experience preferred.Problem resolution experience.Willingness to work weekends and holidays.Ability to pass Maintenance based aptitude testing.Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.Physical Requirements:Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is high). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; climb or balance; kneel, crawl, stoop, or crouch.Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
