Accounting Assistant American Target Advertising, Inc. | Manassas, VA | Full-Time American Target Advertising, a leading direct marketing and fundraising agency serving conservative nonprofit and advocacy organizations, is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our accounting team in Manassas, Virginia. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys keeping numbers accurate and processes running smoothly, and who wants to see how accounting supports a fast-paced direct mail and fundraising operation. The Accounting Assistant supports the day-to-day work of the department, including entering invoices and fees in QuickBooks, processing and mailing checks, creating purchase orders, reconciling expense reports, and maintaining well-organized financial records. A key part of the role is tracking and funding postage for our clients’ direct mail campaigns, which means working closely with our Production team and vendors to make sure mailings go out on schedule, and keeping management informed with regular status updates. The ideal candidate has at least one year of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts payable experience, working knowledge of QuickBooks, and solid Excel skills. You should be highly organized, comfortable managing recurring deadlines, and able to communicate clearly with colleagues across departments. Experience in direct mail, printing, or nonprofit fundraising is a plus, and a genuine interest in learning about direct marketing, digital fundraising, and conservative issues is expected.
