The Shipping and Receiving Clerk works on first shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and is responsible for safely handling, packing, shipping, receiving, and stocking products. This role involves operating material handling equipment, using shipping software systems, and maintaining accurate inventory and location control while consistently following all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times and strictly adhere to all company safety procedures and guidelines every day.
• Use UPS Worldship, FedEx systems, and D365 to process shipments, prepare labels, and manage shipping documentation.
• Handle materials efficiently, including managing product locations and ensuring accurate location control within the facility.
• Perform packing, shipping, receiving, and stocking of products in a timely and accurate manner.
• Operate various material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe and controlled manner.
• Lift and move heavy materials, up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis throughout the workday.
• Stand, stretch, bend, and move continuously for the duration of an 8-hour shift to complete daily tasks.
• Wear and properly use company-designated personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, ear protection, and protective gloves as needed.
• Perform routine daily housekeeping duties to keep the work area neat, clean, and well-organized.
• Assist in physical inventory counts by accurately handling, counting, and recording materials and products.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6 months of shipping experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Ability to safely lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Proficiency in using UPS Worldship and FedEx shipping systems to prepare and process shipments.
• Experience with D365 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for shipping and inventory tasks.
• Demonstrated ability in material handling and location control within a warehouse setting.
• Certification or proven experience in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and related material handling equipment.
• Ability to stand, stretch, bend, and perform physically active work for an entire 8-hour shift.
• Strong adherence to safety procedures and consistent use of required personal protective equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norton Shores, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
