Position Summary

We are seeking an ambitious, high-performing Talent Acquisition Manager to serve as a key lead on our New York agency team. In this pivotal leadership role, you will combine hands-on 360-degree agency recruiting and business development expertise with direct team management, overseeing a pod of 2 to 3 agency recruiters .

Because this is an agency leadership role, not an internal corporate TA function, you will drive end-to-end recruitment strategies, manage client relationships, and ensure high desk yield across your team. You will lead by example through strategic candidate delivery and client account development while coaching, mentoring, and driving the daily performance of your recruiting team within the specialized Microsoft Cloud ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

• Direct Supervision: Lead, mentor, and performance-manage a team of 2-3 agency recruiters, setting clear KPIs, delivery targets, and daily sourcing activities.
• Coaching & Professional Development: Provide ongoing training on candidate engagement, interview techniques, headhunting strategies, and client presentation.
• Workflow & Yield Optimization: Audit and refine team recruiting workflows, candidate pipeline management, and ATS/CRM utilization to maximize speed-to-fill and placement quality.

Agency Recruiting & Delivery Leadership

• Full-Desk & Account Delivery: Take ownership of key client accounts and critical candidate searches within the Microsoft Cloud space (D365, Azure, Power Platform).
• Strategic Candidate Sourcing: Design and execute advanced sourcing strategies to build talent pipelines for hard-to-find, highly passive technical candidates.
• Client & Commercial Engagement: Act as a strategic partner to client hiring managers and decision-makers—understanding their talent requirements, setting recruitment timelines, and presenting qualified candidates.

Performance & Business Operations

• Team Revenue & Production: Drive overall team production, ensuring both individual and team delivery goals and placement targets are consistently achieved.
• Market Advisory: Leverage deep market intelligence on tech hiring trends, compensation benchmarks, and talent supply to advise clients and guide your team’s delivery strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience: 4-6+ years of agency recruitment experience (third-party/staffing firm environment), with demonstrated success in technology or specialized staffing.
• Leadership Experience: Prior experience leading, managing, or mentoring junior-to-mid-level recruiters, with a track record of driving team performance and accountability.
• Full-Desk / Agency Sourcing Expertise: Deep understanding of the full agency recruitment lifecycle, including account management, candidate headhunting, offer negotiation, and placement management.
• Tech Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with IT/cloud recruitment (Microsoft Cloud, Dynamics 365, Azure, or enterprise software ecosystems is a strong plus).
• Commercial & Operational Acumen: Ability to analyze team metrics, optimize desk workflows, and foster a collaborative, high-performance agency culture.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
