Family Medicine Residency - Community Preceptor Position

Position Overview

Support the next generation of Family Medicine physicians by serving as a Community Preceptor at Guthrie Lourdes Hospital. The preceptor will provide community‑focused teaching to residents and medical students while maintaining high‑quality patient care. Positions range from 0.1 to 0.3 FTE in an ACGME‑accredited Family Medicine program with osteopathic recognition.

Responsibilities and General Duties

• Document and report teaching activities in compliance with Medicare guidelines for residents and medical students.
• Adhere to work‑hour restrictions per ACGME and New York State regulations.
• Maintain a professional demeanor as a role model for resident physicians and medical students.
• Keep all required certifications and memberships current to satisfy accrediting bodies.
• Complete evaluations for residents and/or students and submit them electronically to the Office of Graduate Medical Education in a timely manner.

Candidate Requirements

• DO or MD degree required.
• Active unrestricted New York State license, current registration, and an active DEA license.
• Board certification in Family Medicine.
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in Family Medicine.
• Meet all teaching faculty standards as required by accredited bodies.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary of $536.00 per shift for each 0.1 FTE.
