Details 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center Care for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients, 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg units Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units Night shift schedule (7p-7a), does not rotate 36 or 48 hour options available with every-other-weekend requirement Uses EPIC EMR Requirements Active Massachusetts RN license required, no conditional or pending licenses accepted AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required 2 years of continuous adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU Telemetry competency required, must be able to read tele strips Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed Additional Information Provide direct care to a wide range of critically ill adult patients in a high-acuity ICU setting Free on-site parking available Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility American Traveler Job ID P-742809.
