Manufacturing Director

Medtronic seeks a Manufacturing Director to lead production operations at its Villalba, Puerto Rico facility. The role involves strategic oversight of manufacturing teams, production planning, quality management, and continuous improvement to meet safety, delivery, and financial objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with production goals and business requirements
- Direct production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation based on demand and equipment efficiency
- Manage departmental budgets and recommend capital and labor investments
- Develop and coach manufacturing leaders to build organizational capability and succession pipelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years manufacturing experience with 7+ years in management, or advanced degree with 8+ years experience and 7+ years management
- Demonstrated leadership of manufacturing operations and production teams
- Experience in production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Proficiency with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Track record managing operational, quality, and financial performance metrics
- Strong business acumen including budget and capital expenditure management
