Executive Chef Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience overseeing a $4 million+ sales volume kitchen
- Strong culinary background with a proven ability to execute established menus at a high level
- Business acumen and financial responsibility
- Polished, professional presentation and effective communication skills
Executive Chef Preferred Background & Skills
- Hands-on kitchen leadership, with demonstrated ability to train, coach, and motivate culinary teams
- Italian culinary experience strongly preferred
- Experience interacting positively with guests and serving as a restaurant ambassador
- Organized, disciplined, and capable of maintaining operational standards
Executive Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Schedule, mentor, and support the culinary team to meet labor budgets and achieve operational goals
- Oversee ordering and inventory management, maintaining strict food-cost controls
- Continuously ensure kitchen cleanliness, organization, and adherence to operational standards
- Execute a consistent, high-quality menu and drive service excellence by working the line as needed
- Partner with the general manager and leadership team to maintain an exceptional guest experience
- Engage with guests in the dining room, representing the restaurant's personality and vision
