Executive Chef Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 2–5 years of experience overseeing a $4 million+ sales volume kitchen
Strong culinary background with a proven ability to execute established menus at a high level
Business acumen and financial responsibility
Polished, professional presentation and effective communication skills

Executive Chef Preferred Background & Skills

Hands-on kitchen leadership, with demonstrated ability to train, coach, and motivate culinary teams
Italian culinary experience strongly preferred
Experience interacting positively with guests and serving as a restaurant ambassador
Organized, disciplined, and capable of maintaining operational standards

Executive Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Schedule, mentor, and support the culinary team to meet labor budgets and achieve operational goals
Oversee ordering and inventory management, maintaining strict food-cost controls
Continuously ensure kitchen cleanliness, organization, and adherence to operational standards
Execute a consistent, high-quality menu and drive service excellence by working the line as needed
Partner with the general manager and leadership team to maintain an exceptional guest experience
Engage with guests in the dining room, representing the restaurant's personality and vision
