About the Role

As the Payroll Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations. This position partners closely with Human Resources and Accounting to deliver a seamless payroll experience and support employees across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule for multiple pay cycles
• Maintain payroll records and ensure employee data is up to date
• Review timesheets, audit payroll information, and resolve discrepancies
• Administer payroll-related deductions, benefits, garnishments, and tax withholdings
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with payroll reporting
• Support payroll audits and year-end processes, including W-2 preparation
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Partner with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate employee and payroll data
• Assist with process improvements and other payroll-related projects as needed

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll processing experience
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Experience working with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving and customer service abilities
• Nonprofit experience is a plus, but not required
