Site Safety Specialist

Site Safety Specialist Location: US-OK-Pryor Travel: This is a traveling position, up to 100% of the time, with potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US. You may spend 8–12 months on average per project. Daily per diem in addition to base pay is offered. Responsibilities Coordinate and present safety training to support company and client requirements, including planning, documentation, and presentation (New Hire Orientation, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout, Respiratory, etc.). Understand OSHA regulations and how they are applied. Recognize and track hazardous situations on the job site and work with Safety Managers to mitigate satisfactorily. Complete daily site walks to identify and document on‑site safety risks or discrepancies. Provide safety leadership and create enthusiasm and participation among management and craft workers, resulting in excellent safety performance. Gather details, provide input, and review incident reports. Assist in the execution of the jobsite safety plans. Understand and implement lockout/tagout procedures in a safe manner. Communicate with company management regarding safety matters. Complete drug screen collections as needed. Assist Safety Manager with incident investigations. Understand and implement the site‑specific emergency response plan. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Work Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. Must obtain STSC within one year of position entry date. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Take reasonable care of own and others' health and safety by taking personal responsibility to work toward the company's Zero Injury principles. Functional computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Type and write reports with accuracy and appropriate grammar. Strong written and oral communication skills. Must have knowledge of hazard recognition, record keeping, injury management skills, and strong communication skills. Attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies. Ability to perform safety inspections ensuring compliance with company and OSHA standards. Working Environment: Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and extreme heat. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
