Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical Floor (MS) specialty at its facility in Wausau, Wisconsin. This full-time overnight position involves working 12-hour night shifts at the MAP Unit Medical and Pediatrics. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role involves providing direct patient care, collaborating with team members, and managing change effectively.

Job Details:

• Location: Wausau, WI
• Shift: 12-hour nights, with a schedule of 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC), Associate Degree or Certificate, and a minimum of 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, Trauma level II experience highly preferred.
• Charting Experience: EPIC required
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, every other holiday rotation
• Additional Information: During flu season, decline of flu and COVID vaccinations requires wearing masks at all times, in accordance with facility policy. GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation; guaranteed hours are provided during regular shifts, except on holidays when the unit may be closed.
• Experience: Minimum of 0 years, with a preference for candidates with at least 2 years of experience in trauma level II settings.
• Float: Not explicitly required, but flexibility to work across inpatient units as needed.
• Vaccinations: Flu and COVID vaccinations required, with mask wearing mandated if declined.
• Unit Information: MAP Unit Medical and Pediatrics, treating conditions such as respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal issues, diabetic management, renal failure, and infectious diseases. Typical patient ratios are 1:4-5 during day shifts and 1:6-7 during nights.
