Cook Position

As a Cook, you'll play an essential role in creating that environment—by preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals and ensuring the kitchen runs safely and smoothly.

We are seeking a dependable, collaborative, and detail-oriented individual who wants to make a meaningful impact on the lives of adolescents in residential treatment. You'll be part of a close-knit Food Services team that values professionalism, flexibility, and respect across all interactions—with youth, staff, and one another. This is an ideal position for a motivated individual looking to start a career in food services!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare three nutritious, well-balanced meals daily for youth and staff
• Follow established menus, recipes, and any special dietary instructions
• Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and organization of kitchen, food storage, and cottage kitchen areas
• Participate in kitchen inventory, food deliveries, and quality control
• Contribute to departmental planning, food services meetings, and special events
• Provide support during staffing absences, weather emergencies, and holidays

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness and ability to become certified in Food Safety and Allergen Awareness
• Experience in institutional or commercial food service preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• A commitment to consistency, cleanliness, and safety
• All applicants must pass a background check and provide a reference from a recent supervisor
• Valid, current driver's license for 3 or more years and acceptable driving record
