This role serves as a key resource for designated J&C Focals, providing regulatory guidance, training, process oversight, and validation support to ensure export classifications are completed accurately, consistently, and in compliance with applicable export control regulations. The position partners closely with engineering, trade compliance, and business teams to drive effective classification processes across multiple business units.This position may be based in our Billerica, MA, Elkridge, MD, or Wilsonville, OR office and will support business units across Teledyne.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Support and coordinate the completion, review, and validation of Jurisdiction & Classification (J&C) determinations for products, software, and technology across assigned business units, ensuring compliance with applicable export control regulationsServe as a subject matter resource to designated J&C Focals, providing guidance on classification methodologies, regulatory requirements, and determination processesSupport the administration and ongoing execution of the J&C Focal program, including participant training and ongoing supportDevelop, maintain, and deliver J&C training materials and guidance related to export control regulations and classification requirementsCollaborate with Engineering, Trade Compliance, and cross-functional stakeholders to support accurate and consistent J&C determinationsCollaborate with IT to identify and implement methods for maintaining J&C determination records and improving record accessibilitySupport the maintenance and availability of approved J&C determinations for authorized employees and business partners, as appropriateAssist with the preparation of Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) requests and Commodity Classification Automated Tracking System (CCATS) submissions, as neededCoordinate J&C-related projects and initiatives, including scheduling, status tracking, progress reporting, and stakeholder communicationsSupport the Global Trade Compliance J&C team by facilitating meetings, documenting decisions and action items, tracking follow-up activities, and assisting with the preparation of presentations and other program materialsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, International Business, Trade Compliance, Supply Chain, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience supporting export compliance, jurisdiction and classification, trade compliance, or related export control activitiesExperience supporting or conducting jurisdiction and classification (J&C) activities for products, software, or technology within a regulated environment is requiredExperience supporting thermal imaging, aerospace, defense, electronics, or other highly regulated technical products is preferredWorking knowledge of U.S., Canadian, UK, and EU export control regulations, including military and dual-use classification requirementsExperience collaborating with engineering and technical teams to support classification determinations and regulatory compliance activitiesExperience developing or delivering training, guidance, or compliance-related communications preferredStrong project coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholdersStrong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements to both technical and non-technical audiencesProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and WordMust qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by applicable U.S. export control regulationsSalary Range: $77,900.00-$103,800.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
