District Field Sales Leader - Tools & Growth (Chicago Area)

District Sales Manager – In the field (Chicagoland/Illinois) Join our team of more than 43,500 professionals working with brands such as DEWALT, BLACK+DECKER, CRAFTSMAN, STANLEY, CUB, and HUSTLER. Responsibilities Achieve the annual operating plan by working with distributors to increase route averages and adding new distributors. Conduct truck ride‑along coaching sessions 3‑4 days per week. Provide training for new distributors (initial 2‑week ride‑along and periodic refresher sessions). Attract and retain distributors in the Mac Tools business. Conduct new franchisee training and complete field start process, revisiting as needed to coach as directed by the Regional Manager and Analyst. Hold monthly Field Excellence Meetings with the entire district. Participate in Student Tech shows. Manage regional credits and adjustments. Execute route surveys for new starts and on request from the Regional Manager. Qualifications Prior experience in the mobile tool sales industry. Demonstrated success in recruiting new talent. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Proven business acumen and relationship‑building ability. Knowledge of the local automotive repair market. Prior experience as a small business owner or in coaching small business owners. Minimum 5 years of route/field sales experience. Minimum 2 years of management experience leading multiple field/route sales professionals. Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time within the specified territory (may include extended travel). Physically capable of lifting more than 10 pounds. Willingness to reside in the Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL; Rockford, IL; or Madison, WI region. Target Compensation Total target cash compensation range: $84,000.00 – $135,200.00. Includes base salary and variable cash compensation; eligible for a sales incentive plan or commission. Target range varies by location, experience, and other factors. Offers may include annual merit increases.
