Farm Assistant Hartville, OH Pegasus Farm is currently searching for a full-time Farm Assistant to assist the Farm Manager in performance of all aspects of maintenance of Pegasus Farm’s stables, grounds, buildings, vehicles and equipment. Pegasus Farm is a local nonprofit organization who supports and empowers individuals with diverse needs through our therapeutic equestrian programs and adult day services. What can we offer YOU? Paid Time Off Possible health insurance Qualifications: Experience in property, building and grounds equipment maintenance, as well as vehicle maintenance General knowledge of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems Ability to effectively operate farm and grounds equipment safely and independently Proof of driver’s license and insurance Ability to pass a background check Responsibilities: Conditioning, grading, and watering of the equine riding arenas Maintenance of farm equipment and vehicles, including preventive maintenance and documentation Assist with maintaining buildings, building equipment and grounds equipment Assist with construction projects Seasonal tasks including but not limited to; mowing, trimming, landscaping tree trimming and removal, snow removal, safety salt dispersal Maintenance of pastures including routine mowing, trimming and spraying and maintaining the shelters Assist with other routine tasks such as manure management and removal and rubbish removal, etc. Assist in supporting volunteers assigned to property, buildings and equipment improvements Adhere to all Pegasus Farm policy and procedures as set forth in the Pegasus Farm Employee Handbook The mission of Pegasus Farm is to create a community that holistically supports and empowers people with diverse needs through therapeutic equestrian programs, vocational services, and recreational and social activities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
